Year 7 September 2026
You would have recently received an email containing onboarding instructions and a registration link. If you experience any difficulty accessing this, please contact us at admissions.bch@osborne.coop.
We kindly ask that registration is completed by 27th March as delays in completing this process may affect the start of your child’s enrolment.
Please let us know as soon as possible if any of your contact details or personal information change, so we can keep our records up to date.
Please take note of the following important dates:
Thursday 14th May – Induction Evening for Students with Barriers to Learning (5.30pm)
This meeting is designed for parents and carers of children who may require additional support. You will have the opportunity to meet members of our SEND and Pastoral teams, discuss expectations, explore support options and ask any questions regarding your child’s transition.
Wednesday 24th June – Parent Information Evening (5.00pm)
This evening will provide important information about the induction days and your child’s move to secondary school. You will meet key staff, learn more about expectations in Year 7 and have the opportunity to ask questions.
Thursday 25th June & Friday 26th June – Transition Induction Days
These days are carefully planned to help pupils feel confident and prepared.
What to Expect:
- Curriculum Tasters: Pupils will take part in a range of lessons to experience how learning at secondary school differs from primary school.
- Socialisation: We have found that meeting new classmates ahead of the new term helps each young person feel more reassured about moving into secondary school.
- Familiarity with new environment: We find that these early experiences greatly reduce anxiety and help pupils start in September feeling reassured and ready.
Free School Meals
In most cases, you do not need to reapply when moving from primary to secondary school. If your child currently receives benefits-based free school meals, this entitlement will usually continue automatically. If you move to a different local authority, you will need to reapply.
